There is a wealth of information on the Oxford admissions process and how we interact with schools and colleges available on our website at ox.ac.uk/study.
We also have further digital resources for teachers and students:
Oxplore is an innovative new digital outreach portal from the University of Oxford. As the ‘Home of Big Questions’ it aims to engage those from 11 to 18 years old with debates and ideas that go beyond what is covered in the classroom, and reflects the kind of thinking students might do at top universities like Oxford. Big questions tackle complex ideas across a wide range of subjects and draw on the latest research undertaken at Oxford. Oxplore aims to realise aspirations, promote broader thinking and stimulate intellectual curiosity.
Staircase 12 is an online hub of resources developed by University College Oxford for students aiming high at school and thinking about applying to top universities. You'll find plenty of resources to help students develop their interests, book reviews from current undergrads to give ideas about where to start 'reading around' the subject, ideas for stretching students beyond the school syllabus (now an essential for entry to highly selective universities). At the University of Oxford there is a huge amount of fascinating and important research going on. Oxford Sparks aims to share our amazing science with everyone, including supporting teachers to enrich their science lessons.
Oxford Sparks also produce videos and podcasts that showcase cutting edge and exciting research taking place at the University by working with the researchers themselves, alongside high-quality, teacher-approved teaching resources that provides different angles to teach the topic, for secondary school students. This monthly e-newsletter features news about our admissions process, events that teachers and students can attend, and our access and widening participation programmes including our UNIQ Summer School.
