Events and Activities in Oxford

Oxford and Cambridge Student Conferences

Held in March every year, these events provide students in their penultimate year of school from across the UK with the opportunity to find out more about  the two universities, in their local area.

These conferences are designed to provide up-to-date information on the application and admissions procedure at both institutions as well as providing an insight into student life. The events are aimed at students who have already completed their GCSE examinations (or equivalent) and are now undertaking further study.

The conferences cover:

  • Courses available at Oxford and Cambridge
  • Applying to Oxford and Cambridge (including Student Life)
  • Student finance and careers
  • Interviews

Admissions tutors, academic staff and current undergraduates from both universities will also be on hand to answer students' questions. Please note: the Scotland Conference provides information specifically for students studying in the Scottish education system.

Further information is available at www.studentconferences.org.uk.

A large number of focussed sessions provide information on the admissions process, student life, interviews, student finance and a large number of the different courses offered by each University. Admissions tutors, Admissions Office staff and current undergraduates are all present to provide clear and concise advice about applying to the two universities.

There are also a number of sessions entitled ‘Teachers’ Forums’ which are structured discussions on key issues connected to the application and admissions process at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Staff are given the opportunity to meet and chat with Oxford and Cambridge Universities Admissions Tutors. For further information, click here.
